Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the 4th HKTDC Beauty & Wellness Expo was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) during August 15-19, 2019. The fair concluded with immense success, presenting different kinds of local and overseas quality beauty and wellness-related products to public visitors, giving them a hands-on experience at the expo.
This year, HKTDC partnered with the Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) for the second time to launch a “K-Beauty Expo Hong Kong” Pavilion under the theme of “Stylish K-Beauty”, showcased most trendy beauty products from more than 40 Korean exhibitors. These products included Korean dress perfumes designed to match the wearer’s astrological sign, a gold hydrogel eye patch that adds radiance and reclaims skin elasticity.
The first collaboration with South China Media also brought a new Pavilion - the Jessica Pavilion, presented the foot massage treatment and skincare products. Besides, the members of Federation of Beauty Industry (H.K.) and Hong Kong Hair & Beauty Merchants Association showcased hair care products and beauty & slimming products. Meanwhile, the Taiwan Pavilion also returned with more exhibitors to promote their local beauty and wellness products at the expo.
In addition to product demonstrations and a sharing session on makeup tips for summer parties, talks held as part of the Beauty & Wellness Expo will see Yoko Tsang, a beauty and food therapy expert, offering her secret tips to get rid of puffy eyes, and Flower Ieong, beauty influencer and artist from the Bacalhau media channel, sharing advice on dressing up.
