Professional Beauty Group, organizer of Salon International, announced last week to postpone the event until 16-18 October 2021 at ExCeL London.
The Salon International team said they were very excited When Government gave exhibitions the ‘go’ date in July, and worked to create an environment that was safe and would allow us to provide the inspiration and education the show is renowned for. However, that original announcement has not been matched with a practical commitment by the authorities, which means that they may have been forced to cancel the October event at short notice.
Regarding the reason why Salon International has had to be postponed to 2021, Jayne Lewis-Orr, executive director, said: “We are not prepared to put our visitors or our exhibitors through unnecessary cost and inconvenience, with the genuine prospect of last-minute cancellation. This has been a difficult decision but one we feel it is right for the industry; Salon International 2021 will be packed with inspirational education and the biggest and best brands in the hairdressing industry, so save the dates for October 2021.”
Meanwhile, the Salon International team will held on 8-10 September 2020 a virtual three-day networking and educational event, including features six free to attend conference streams including a Hair & Beauty Salon Business Conference and creative/technical sessions. For those wanting to network with the international hairdressing industry and be immersed in educational and inspirational content, join us at Professional Beauty World, the team said.
